I saw all the pictures and all the specs before deciding to plunk down for one of these, and while I was sure it was going to be a bright little sucker, nothing could have prepared me for the size of the thing. It is TINY; smaller than most of the consumer model Mag Lites that take 2 AAs. You can easily clip it to the inside of a shirt pocket and forget that it's there, yet it still throws out more photons than those blindingly bright police issue billy club lights full of D cells. Anyone who's on the fence as to whether or not they really need another flashlight should just go for it. This is a quality item that is worth every penny.
On the down side, the brightness selection process is not particularly intuitive or easy to perform with one hand, and I do wish the manual would have explained what to do with the anti-roll clip retainer thingy. It took me a good five minutes to figure out where it was supposed to go.
